This equipment distributes electric power, generated by the ACGens (2 units, 115VAC) and transformed by the HVTRUs (2 units, 115VAC to 270VDC), to the Electromechanical Actuators (EMAs) (6 units), in charge of moving the flight surfaces instead of the current hydraulics ones.

This equipment is a 28Vdc power distribution unit for critical/essentials loads, based on a modular design.
It is an Emergency Power Distribution Unit operating at 28Vdc based on a mechanical enclosure with 2 separate busbars 28V1 (EmerBus1) and 28V2 (EmerBus2), with the possibility of being interconnected through a bus tie.
This unit includes 2 inputs for 28V1 and 28V2 power supplies, and 2 inputs/outputs for two emergency batteries.
This equipment has 6 outputs which power essential loads from C295 platform: Flight Control Computers, BackUp Control Units, Hydraulic Pumps, Cockpit Display Control Units.

Actuator Control ECU: Elevator Backup Control Unit

This equipment provides emergency control over an actuator of each elevator when the primary system (dual ACE) fails. It also performs continuous monitoring functions that could be employed as an auxiliary source of information for monitoring and signal consolidation purposes.

It is DO-160, MIL-STD-704F and DALB DO-254 qualified.

Mission ECU: FRUL Deployed Hose Length Lights

This equipment is in charge of commanding the signalling given to the receiver aircraft, through visual & infrared indications with accurate information of refuelling status, hose relative position and speed. This ECU sends this information in real time through Arinc429, 1553 and CAN buses to the Control Computer.

It is DO-160, MIL-STD-704F, DALB DO-254 and DO-178 qualified.

TMCORE02 Computer

TMCORE02 is a computing and controller platform based on 32 bit Freescale Coldfire Microcontroller at 250MHz and Altera MaxII CPLD enhanced from TMCORE01 platform for aero products under DAL A and DAL B certification for control / monitor architectures with isolated/non isolated power and signals configuration, manufactured under IPC600 and IPC610 class 3.


SMART SENSORS

Bending Ring Sensor Unit

This equipment measures bending forces between the tanker and refueled aircraft, transmitting data in real time to the Boom Flight Control Computer. It is DO160 certified, operating at temperatures from -55º to 85ºC, 55,000 feet, with 10g vibration, lightning, and EMI-EMC protection. Additionally, high-reliability DO-178 software with DAL A certification runs on these units.

Hose Ring Sensor Unit

This equipment is responsible for measuring tension/compression forces decoupling radial forces, between the hose coupling and receiver aircraft, fuel pressures and sends this information in real time through avionic buses to the AR Kit Control Computer, DO160 certified with operation at -55º to 85 Celsius degrees, operating at 55000 feet with 10g of vibration, with lightning and EMI-EMC protections and with reliable DO-178 software running on electronics units with DAL A certification.

Portable Composite Repair GSE

This equipment is used to perform Composite Repairs at structures with one or two simultaneous cycles over 2 different zones, applying vacuum and heat through silicon heaters, with fine adjustment of parameters and easy to be adjusted. During repairing process, the equipment allows the control, monitoring and storage of all temperatures, vacuum pressure and time to follow precisely programmed cycle, making a perfect curing of composites.
